Wine Shoppe: R Wines does it again!!!

So what is it that R Wines has done again? They have created two more outstanding wines!!!

You maybe familiar with R Wines from many of their other brands including but not limited to Marquis Philips, 3 Rings, Roogle, and Bitch.  they also have 13 other labels created especially for R Wines. Needless to say, the packaging of these wines is amazingly creative but, more importantly, what is in the bottle consistently over-delivers from low-end to high-end.

Yes it is hot and a big red wine might not be the most appealing thing right now but these two wines are well worth stocking up on  now before they are gone!!!

Let's start off with a serious shiraz from legendary wine maker Chris Ringland...

2006 Chris Ringland Ebenezer Shiraz  $17.99

 ebenezer

The 2006 Chris Ringland Shiraz is sourced from Ringland’s favorite sub-region of Barossa, Ebenezer. It was aged for 20 months in seasoned French and American oak hogsheads. Purple/black, it delivers a brooding nose of cedar, tar, smoke, licorice, blueberry, and blackberry. Full-bodied and massive, particularly for a wine in this price category, it offers succulent, savory fruit, great depth, and a 60-second finish. Seamless and complete, it should have a 15 year lifespan. Smart consumers will load up on this amazing value. -Wine Advocate

Let us introduce you to "El Jefe"!  He comes from a long and distinguished line of wrestlers and winemakers.  He likes to drink Champagne in the bath while listening to old Tupac records.

2006 Luchador Shiraz "El Jefe"  $17.99

eljefe

"The 2006 Shiraz contains 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. Sixty percent of the fruit was sourced from Barossa Valley and 40% from McLaren Vale. It was aged for 12 months in seasoned French and American oak. A glass-coating opaque purple, it features first-class aromas of spice box, cedar, mocha, lavender, and blueberry. Velvety-textured, fruit-driven, and intense, the wine has excellent depth of flavor and a long finish. It is a fabulous value." (10/07)

2005 Casa Lapostolle Clos Apalta  $79.99

Wine Spectator 96 Points

Gorgeous aromas of warm ganache and mocha lead the way for a rich, velvety palate loaded with currant, fig paste, black licorice, cassis bush and bramble notes. The long, juicy finish has great grip and density, with echoes of graphite, dark fruit and minerality. This should really reward cellaring. Carmenère, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot. Best from 2009 through 2019. Score: 96. —James Molesworth, 2008.
